"Praise God in his holy sanctuary; give praise in the mighty dome of heaven. Let everything that has breath give praise to the LORD!" ~Psalm 150
You are invited to join St. John the Baptist Parish's Adult Choir! It is for all 18 years and older who love to sing and want to give back to God in a special way!
There's an old adage that says singing is praying twice. The Catholic Church has a great tradition and foundation of Sacred music. Sacred music IS prayer as it focuses our hearts and minds to God. Sacred musicians have a vocational calling to give greater glory to God through song, a tradition passed down from the very beginnings of the Church. A parish choir is not only just a group of people singing, it is like a 2nd family. There is a special bond in music, and we hope that you will consider participating.
Every church choir includes people with no music experience. A parish choir is not filled with Broadway music stars. You need not even be able to read music. We need faith-filled people who love to sing and have a desire to add to the Mass through their special gift of music.
So, won't you join us?
We rehearse on Thursdays at 7PM in the church choir loft. For more information or with any questions you may have, contact Amelia Gamble, director, at ameliaegamble@gmail.com. You can also fill out the sign-up below and brig it to Mass or drop it off at the Parish Office.
